| The number of Hmong living in Vietnam number around 600,000.
They live high in the mountains in the Northern part of Vietnam. For many years, no one
was aware of any Christian work in this area. Reports started coming out in the early
1990's from the Hmong in Vietnam telling of this mass turning to Christ. Their
primary Christian teaching has been and continues to be from an FEBC (Far East
Broadcasting) short wave broadcast. Though statistics are hard to confirm, an
estimated 150,000 - 200,000 Hmong in Vietnam have become Christians through
this broadcast. To read a recent persecution report regarding the Hmong in
Vietnam, go to the link found at http://www.persecution.org/whitepapers/vietnam-2002-03.html |
